## What does this metadata viewer read?

The parser inspects selected EXIF fields inside a JPEG file. It can display camera maker, model, software, capture or modified date, orientation and supported GPS values when those tags are present and readable. It does not list every field in every image format. A blank result means no supported fields were extracted, not that the file has been certified free of identifying information.

## How should you read GPS fields?

When supported GPS tags are found, the viewer displays the stored reference and degrees, minutes and seconds values. It does not contact a map service, resolve an address or send the values to another account. A tag can be outdated or inconsistent with the visible scene. Check the file you intend to share, rather than assuming a different copy has identical metadata.

## What does the PNG export change?

The export creates a new image from pixels decoded by the browser. It does not copy the original EXIF container or modify your original file. This can be useful for a simple still-image copy, but it changes the file format and can affect size, color and special photo features. Inspect the output before sharing. It is not a way to preserve every feature of a Live Photo, animation or other specialized source.

## What remains visible after re-encoding?

Faces, street signs, reflections, landmarks, documents and text shown in the picture remain part of the pixels. Removing a metadata container does not conceal those details. The website also cannot erase a copy you sent earlier or change the metadata held in a cloud library. Decide whether the visible content itself is appropriate for the destination before treating a clean export as sufficient.

## Why start with an ordinary sample?

A sample lets you check the browser's behavior without displaying private material. Select a known JPEG, inspect the fields and download the pixel copy. Open that copy, compare dimensions and appearance, and confirm that the original still exists. If the browser cannot decode a format or the parser reports malformed fields, keep the original and use a supported workflow for that format.

## Which files are supported?

Inspection is limited to selected JPEG EXIF tags and files up to 20 MB. The browser may also decode some PNG or WebP files for pixel-copy export, but their metadata is not analyzed by this parser. HEIC and other formats require a compatible separate workflow. Images over the export pixel limit are declined. No result is an independent forensic assessment or a promise about copies outside this page.
