FAQ

What are App Store privacy labels?
Since December 2020, Apple has required developers to declare what data their app collects and how it is used. The answers appear on each App Store page under App Privacy.
What are the label sections?
Data Used to Track You: Apple defines tracking as linking data from this app with data from other companies' apps, websites or offline sources for targeted advertising or ad measurement, or sharing it with a data broker. Data Linked to You: Collected and tied to your identity, for example through your account, your device or other details that identify you. Data Not Linked to You: Collected, but the developer says it is de-identified or anonymised and not tied back to you.
Which data type is most common?
Usage Data, on 57% of the 4,289 labels in our snapshot, followed by Identifiers and Diagnostics.
Does 'collected' include data that stays on my iPhone?
No. Apple counts data as collected when it is sent off the device in a way the developer or its partners can access beyond what is needed to answer a request in real time.
